Activating Employers

Equality and Human Rights Commission · University of Brighton

Activating Employers is an EHRC-funded research project at the University of Brighton, working with employers to improve workplace inclusion. They needed a public-facing website (including a logo), a series of films building on the projects findings as the team travelled around the US, Australia and the UK, and full transcripts of the source interviews — usually three vendors' worth of work.

We did all of it. One project manager, one editorial voice, one set of brand decisions. The films and the site were designed together rather than bolted to each other afterwards, which is what tends to happen when a comms team stitches a web specialist to a video specialist to a transcription service. The result reads as one piece of work because it was made as one piece of work.

Videos From The Project

Below are some of the videos we made for the project while travelling in the US with the Activating Employers team. Each video was shot in a public location, presenting its own logistical challenges.
