Website Development
Vivify builds custom websites for businesses, universities, schools, and arts organisations-
and then we tend to look after them for the next ten years. Most of our work is for clients who want a long-term technical partner rather than a one-off vendor: people who'd rather have one phone number to call than a chain of agencies, freelancers, and hosting providers each blaming the other when something breaks.
We've been at it since 2012. Some of our client relationships go back further — UKAdance has been with us since 2011. The business is deliberately small — director, long-standing contractor, occasional collaborators on bigger projects — which means you talk to the people doing the work.
What we do
Custom Builds
Websites designed and built from scratch, mostly in ExpressionEngine. Sites are designed around your content and workflow, not bent into someone else's template.
Hosting and Infrastructure
Dedicated servers with Cloudflare in front, plus AWS integrations where it makes sense. For clients whose sites matter enough that "shared hosting that's fine until it isn't" isn't an answer.
Email and Productivity Platforms
Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Zoho, or Migadu — we set up, migrate, and manage whichever fits your organisation's requirements and budget. M365 administration for Parkwood Care; other clients on the platform that suits them.
Ongoing support: Sites we've built, we look after. Most of our clients have been with us for years; some for over a decade. No support tickets, no offshore tier-one call centre — just direct lines to the people who know the work.
Why ExpressionEngine?
Most of the web is built on WordPress, which is fine until it isn't. ExpressionEngine is a more disciplined CMS used by organisations that want their site to stay up, stay secure, and stay theirs — without the plugin churn, the constant attack surface, or the pressure to upgrade to whatever the platform is trying to sell this year. It costs us a bit more time on the build; it costs you considerably less time on the upkeep.
We work with other platforms when there's a reason — but EE is what we reach for first.
Selected work
Activating Employers — University of Brighton / EHRC.

Research project website built alongside a programme of 6 international project films.
UKAdance

Custom site for the UK Alliance of Professional Teachers of Dancing, relaunched 2026. Includes a membership database, a small integrated shop, and an AWS-backed video upload and review system that allows examiners to remotely assess dance studio accreditation submissions. Client since 2011.
Bowden House School

Bowden House School is a specialist residential school in Seaford, providing education, care and therapeutic support for boys with social, emotional and mental health needs. Vivify worked with the school to develop websites for both the main school in Seaford and Bowden Primary in London. We have also produced promotional videos and created a 360 virtual tour of the main school, helping to showcase its facilities, environment and ethos.
What Working With Us Looks Like
We take on a small number of projects at a time. We respond directly. We quote fixed prices for defined scopes and hourly for ongoing work. We don't pad invoices, don't sub-work out to people we haven't worked with for years, and don't disappear once the site is live.
If you want a 50-person agency with a slick onboarding process and a quarterly account review, we're not the shop for you. If you want a small team that knows what it's doing and won't waste your time, we probably are.
Pricing
Custom websites typically start from around £4,000 for smaller sites and scale based on scope. Hosting and ongoing support are quoted separately based on requirements. Get in touch with what you're working on and we'll come back with a real number.
